Google+ can compete neck and neck with Facebook

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine invited me to join Google+ and to be honest, my first feeling after using Google+ was, ''Why would anybody like to switch to it from Facebook?''. At first you really don't find anything special in it that Facebook does not offer.

But after playing with it for a few hours I realized that it certainly has the potential to compete neck and neck with the existing social media giant.

In my opinion, Google+ layout is cleaner with big fonts that enhance readability. Also with some new features like Circles, Hangouts, Sparks etc. and the fact that Google as a whole is a more popular entity and has certainly more number of users as compared to Facebook, there is no doubt that Google+ will earn a great following in no time.

So after using Google+ for a few days, I can say that it is certainly not a Facebook killer, but Google's attempt this time to make a mark in social media, after failures like Buzz and Wave, will surely put a dent in Facebook's business.
